The Station's Research mission focuses on supporting faculty, graduate, and undergraduate research projects at the University of Florida as well as serve as a platform and collaborative environment for other academic institutions and agencies.
The Station's Conservation mission is to manage and protect the ecological integrity of the facility's habitats and species. It also includes the collecting of long-term monitoring data to support conservation management, research, education, and extension activities.
The Station's Teaching mission is to provide support for a mix of college level courses, professional training, extension workshops, and visits from K-12 schools. OSBS provides a high quality learning environment and the opportunity to provide valuable field experiences.
The Ordway-Swisher Biological Station is a research and demonstration unit with the University
